The Illustrati held a competition in April with the sole purpose of providing an avenue for undiscovered artists to gain exposure. This competition, got entries from all over the world. There were four hundred twenty three entries, from artists located in one hundred eight countries. The site received six thousand one hundred forty four unique visitors, and over ten thousand votes.

To up the exposure another level we also agreed to publish a magazine featuring the top 25 highest voted entries. The top five were given an opportunity to submit a photo and a bio to go on a spread all their own.

We have brought back the competition and we've added features to make it easier to share ideas, discuss the entries and meet other artists. The new features include:

Profiles - Allowing other artists to get to know you
Groups - Making it easy to find artists who share your interests
Forums - Encouraging discussion about work or other topics
Galleries - Enabling you to display your work
Merchandise - Including the mag & official Illustrati gear
Blog Entries - Containing community news, tutorials & free stuff
