Afro-Tech Magazine

  • Afro-Tech Magazine
  • This magazine documents the large-scale Afro-Tech project by HMKV (Hartware MedienKunstVerein) & Office medienwerk.nrw in cooperation with Interkultur Ruhr — a project by the Ruhr Regional Association (RVR) — and Africa Positive e.V.
The exhibition Afro-Tech and the Future of Re-Invention put Afrofuturism in dialogue with alternative technological solutions and imaginations, and thus presented Africa as a continent of technological innovation. The Afro-Tech Fest featured various formats — exhibition, discussions, performances, workshops, film screenings and music, and took place at HMKV (Hartware MedienKunstVerein) and several other places in Dortmund.
