  • CARTE BLANCHE • THIS YEAR, EVERYBODY’S A NOBODY.

    Carte Blanche is Canada’s biggest free advertising contest, run by Astral (a division of Bell Media) where creatives from Canada’s three biggest markets (Montréal, Toronto and Western Canada) submit digital billboard ideas for their agency’s clients, with the winners receiving a trip to the Cannes Lions Festival and $50,000 worth of outdoor media for their client. For the 9th edition of the contest, we proposed some changes. Entries would be shortlisted by a panel of six industry leaders rather than by public vote, and submission would be anonymous: “This year, everybody’s a nobody”.  ​​​​​​​

  • “This year, lg2 added a humorous touch to how we ran the contest by proposing an additional prize: The Trucker’s Choice”, explained Chloé Boissonnault, General Manager, Marketing and Communication, Bell Media. “Who better to hand out this special prize than someone who spends hours and hours a day watching billboards pass by? A jury of three professional truckers (one per market) selected their favourite concepts from all the submissions.”
