Soda Stereo was an Argentine rock band created in Buenos Aires in 1982, by the power trio made up of Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti. It achieved international success throughout the 1980s and 1990s, playing a pivotal role in the surfacing, development and dissemination of Latin American rock. Septimo Dia is the name adopted by Cirque du Soleil to build an unprecedented show that re-imagines the band’s history and it’s future.
The concept for the show was to gather the people from the earth and take them to Soda’s planet. It’s a journey to discover a new landscape and re-live emotions through their music. The goal was for the art to be simple and iconic, leaving the audience with a sense of wonder and thirst for adventure.
