Vino & Wódka - Wedding Identity

  • Traditional Wedding
Inspired by the bygone times, this wedding stationery suite sets the perfect tone for this romantic event. The young couple was very clear about the style: they wanted a rustic yet elegant wedding, which could bring a bit of that nostalgic atmosphere —that characterizes the old traditions—but without slipping in a twee style. For this aim, it has been chosen a sober typographical approach, avoiding any corny element (like hearts, laces, roses etc.) in order to keep the overall style as classic as possible. Since some of the guests were coming from abroad, and it was necessary to communicate more information than a normal wedding, the invitation has been developed as a booklet rather than as a classic card. This unusual invite borrows its aesthetics from the old books of the first half of the 20th Century, but lightened by a hint of modernity and humour. In order to contain the costs of the print, the layout has been designed to accomodate the copy in two different languages: Italian and Polish. The old-fashioned style informed the rest of the design including menus, table cards, place tags, buffet tags and the wedding favor labels. Since the graphic should have been elegant and not invasive, it was important to keep a bird eye during the entire design process, and to never forget the environment in which each element would have been located. Geometric frames and neat typography give to the visual language a minimalist and sober look, which is consistent but at the same time well modulated in each element that have been designed.
