I redesign the book One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez for an academic project. I chose to use the concept of eternal return in his plot of the Buendía family. The idea was to create a typographic cover and use the title of the book as a repeating cycle around the author's name.
The yellow color is predominant in the book cover because it is the most mentioned color in the plot. The red and green symbolize the wars of Macondo and its geographical isolation, respectively.
I had also included a genealogy of Buendia and the map of the small Macondo inside the book, because this project is intented to be a special edition.
