Norwegian Watch Design
The purpose of this project is to mix a person's identity into a
product, and see how this may affect the design process. In
this project I made four wrist watches by using my grandparents
personality and identity. The idea is that designing after a specific
person, the end results will reflect a lot more personality and soul.
A mark of quality, soul and uniqueness. A Norwegian clock brand
that is inspired by real people. This is a small piece of true
Norwegian history. Schønning is about quality, functionality and
appearance, while tradition and history is highlighted. Through the
design, each clock is inspired and influenced by a personality.
Each watch is made to honor my grandparents. Everything from the person's profession, hobbies, personality, interests and much more is taken in consideration when designing the wrist watches. Small details like the choice of crown, materials, color, shape, markers and such have been done with the person's identity in mind.
To honor my grandparents,
