West coast, east coast, mid-west, and Europe—each a stage in my life—all anchored by my love of art and design. Beginning with “designing” the year book cover in the fifth grade, extending through high school art and photography classes, culminating in a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in studio art with a concentration in graphic design in 2005, my path has been clear. My passion was fed by living and traveling in Europe, witnessing firsthand the works of great masters, and formal undergraduate course work in Florence, Italy.

Following graduation, I took my first job in Chicago as a graphic designer for an office supply company. While my primary job was a great learning opportunity, I felt the need for greater challenges and artistic space, which I fulfilled through several freelance opportunities. After four wonderful years in the windy city, I knew it was time to take the next step in my career development.

I received my MFA in graphic design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, which I completed in December 2012. The university provided me with the challenges, knowledge and training that has prepared me to be a rigorous thinker and skilled problem solver. Currently, I am working as a freelance designer.
